This is MATCH director Juliane Taudt with a lot of sensitivity and empathy for the people in front of and behind the camera.

As a trained journalist, she loved writing and wanted to breathe life into her texts. And that's how it started. Juliane focuses on advertising and is passionate about documentaries with very personal stories. Her strength lies in emotional storytelling, conducting interviews with unique depth and capturing authentic moments in an unstaged manner. Sometimes serious. Sometimes melancholic. Sometimes heartwarming and touchingly beautiful. She always makes her decisions without ego and with an apparent attitude for the team. She courageously reflects on taboo topics in our society, and her way of subtly creating emotions can be found in all her films.

Born in probably the easternmost part of Germany, Juliane now calls Munich home. Here, you can meet her early in the morning, walking along the Isar river - while she likes to listen to current podcasts or talk to her grandma on the phone. For aesthetic breaks and inner balance, she watches German trash TV (but would hate to admit it) and reads the books of her favorite writer, Juli Zeh.
