This is MATCH cinematographer Niko Knoblauch, whose life -  besides trying to become a circus director, juggling master, and a yogi - is his beloved work as a director of photography.

Born in southern Germany on a small farm and to a family of creatives, Niko studied at the University of Television & Film in Munich. Although becoming a director of photography was his ultimate goal all along, Niko took a somewhat winding path, doing stints as an editor, director, and producer before embarking on his chosen career path.

Since 2014, he has worked on feature film projects, music videos, and commercials all over the world and under the most wild and challenging conditions. Always full of empathy, calmness, and with a kind heart. Niko’s world is colorful. Art and music are his motivations. Nature is the basis. Out of love and respect. For the world in which he wants to work and live.

Suppose the idea of becoming a circus director remains in the parallel universe. In that case, Niko will, fortunately, stay a cinematographer and enjoy that he can still travel from one place to another and that every day can be wild and unpredictable. Life is a circus, anyway. Don't you think?
