This is MATCH director Caro Weller, always searching for answers and capturing authentic characters in front of the camera in a close and intimate way.

Growing up in a modestly sized village in the Rhineland, Caro discovered her love for film at a young age. After studying communication design, she entered the industry by editing films. She then worked as a creative for production companies and developed and realized formats for television until she directed her first TV commercial and found her biggest passion. Caro loves to make a feeling, a memory, or a vision come to life. She wants to create something that evokes similar feelings in her audience and has a lasting effect on them.  

With her understanding of design, art, fashion, and beauty, she has created a style that meets the current zeitgeist. Sensual. Intimate. Honest. As a feminist, she constantly questions current beauty standards and the role of women in advertising and the industry. This makes her work honest and vulnerable, sensitive and close.

Caro is obsessed with konmari and tidiness. Her storage room, closet, and computer are subject to her ingenious system of organization, which she is very proud of. She would never refuse a party invitation or a coffee date with Greta Gerwig. Try it out.
